Welcome to the TLC lab!

The Technology, Learning, and Collaboration (TLC) lab group is located within the University of Michigan School of Information and is led by Research Associate Professor Stephanie Teasley. Our research focuses on the study, design, and implementation of technologies that enable learning and group collaboration. In particular, we are interested in researching the role that technologies may play in informal learning environments, contexts such as workplaces and creative arenas, and transient and self-organized groups of individuals, especially adults.

In order to better understand the complexities and subtleties of learning across contexts and over the lifespan, we employ an interdisciplinary approach towards our research. Members of the group come from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds and utilize multiple approaches toward studying the intersection of technologies, learning, and collaboration.
